The ground breaking was great. I was impressed that the city thought to set up tents. The police did a great job with the flag ceremony and the music. My son and his friends had fun and learned some good things about their town.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is too big and it stands out1
ReplyDeleteWhy do we need such a big library? We are such a small city. There is no need.
ReplyDeleteRight. We don't need no books and stuff like that in Springville.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it seems a bit large for our town. After all, if I need a big library, I can easily drive a few miles to BYU. And why the modern design? Seems to me a structure more in keeping with the older homes and buildings of "Art City" would have been preferable- even just a simple column or two would give a little character to that drab facade... Hopefully we can at least plant some attractive trees to soften up all those lines and angles.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't the design of the new library the same as the fire dept. and the city office bldgs.? The bldgs. should look somewhat similar sincr they are so close to each other. The new street lamps don't match the library either. I'm disappointed, as are others I have talked to. What will be in the spot of the old library?
